Galette des Rois (King Cake)

Galette des rois à la frangipane is a flaky puff pastry cake filled with rich almond cream, traditionally enjoyed during Epiphany with a hidden charm and a crown for the “king” or “queen.”The tradition, only if desired, place the included fève (figurine) inside the cake. Whoever gets the slice with the fève is declared the king for the Day and gets to wear the crown!*
